Creating Mathematical Documents

Not enough time, busy, need support for teaching?

Maybe you have a test, worksheet, class activity that you need for a group of Mathematics students. The solution could be quite easy. The following shows a handwritten copy of a 'class test' (PDF) which is in a raw unedited format. To view requires a PDF reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader that is available for free download from the official Adobe site.

The same 'class test' can be seen here once it has been created and edited. In most cases, it is much preferred to have Mathematics (whether that be notes, exercises, tasks, worksheets, tests, exams) that are written professionally or of professional appearance. Quite often there will be errors possibly created during the construction of any handwritten document.

A sample draft test is shown here for a Year 9 class group. One of the difficulties with teaching Mathematics in the present is being able to find the time to devote to creating a document of sufficient quality. When a Mathematical document is initially made, it will be usual to focus on content before appearance. However, in most cases it is important to have content suitably presented as shown with the 'newer version' of the class test.

It is possible to go beyond basic content for students and it may also be possible to include solutions as well as the questions. Shown here are the draft answers to the previous class test as well as the 'professional' solutions.

Help is at hand. Teachers usually have time to perform the teaching and associated tasks of teaching Mathematics but in many cases there is often insufficient time to focus on the creation of much needed resources. Worksheets, tests, examinations, activities and so forth can be very time consuming. To assist with these tasks, Sumuno is able to take some of the drudgery and laboriousness away from these issues. It is possible to take raw drafts and convert them into professional looking documents.

Free Trial >> For a limited time, Sumuno will provide Mathematics educators with the opportunity to have a document created at no charge for use with a class or group. As can be seen earlier, a sample taken from a hand written document was created. To receive this free offer there is a procedure to be followed. Once the handwritten document has been made, it can then be sent through to Sumuno and it will be returned when it has been completed.

Mathematical Graphics

Need a 'professional looking Mathematical diagram but finding it difficult to get exactly what you need?

Much of Mathematics relies upon the ability to view problems with a diagram that accurately models a given situation. In the early stages of concept development it may prove beneficial to have images that show ideas clearly. As greater competency is obtained, diagrams may become more complex.

Shown in the following are just some basic examples of Mathematics graphics that can be created and used within any Mathematical document or used in a variety of situations.

Necessities of Learning Mathematics

Irrespective of your proficiency in Mathematics there will be something for you. Much of the learning of Mathematics has its basis on the skills learned in the Junior years of secondary education. Of course it is important to know the formative skills learned in the years of Primary education, in fact it is essential that the pre-requisite skills are known and readily recalled.

Sumuno Mathematics Resources treat the majority (if not all) of the content of the Junior mathematics course, with some possible differences in content between locations be that between countries or even within a particular country. It is important to note that all of the basic elements of Junior mathematics have been covered. Not every component of Senior Mathematics has been treated but there is certainly the development of skills based around calculus. A very simple description of the content of Sumuno Resources is included here.
